Cancer Information and Resource Centre in Shepparton
The front area in our Shepparton office has been transformed into a Cancer Information and Resource Centre. This centre encompasses a large variety of information for patients, carers, family, friends as well as the general public covering all streams of cancer, and lifestyle, caring for persons with cancer, information and support programs, prevention, uplifting and true stories, DVD’s, CD’s and much more. Information in the resource centre is mostly free and can mostly be taken away with you, however we also have a developing section of library resources which can be read in our comfortable lounge area or borrowed to take home.

Our Resource Centre is open from 8:30am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday and we are at 193a Corio Street, Shepparton – look out for the colourful daffodil sign on our front window which makes our premises easy to find.

Cancer Resource and Information Centres will be opening soon in Wodonga and Kilmore in the coming months. Watch this space.

Professional Development & Education Grants
Professional Development and Education Grants are  available to support staff to attend best practice seminars which may include:
  • COSA Conference, 
  • Reach to Recovery 2009, International Breast Cancer Support Conference 13 – 15 May Brisbane,
  • Australasian Conference on Safety and Quality in Health Care, 6-9 September 2009 Sydney,
  • Conferences/workshops specific to the four key program areas such as Supportive Care, Care Coordination, Multidisciplinary Care and Reducing Variations
